🦋 My new month spread - May, 2021! 💫

Hie! I'm Pooja K. I bullet journal :) crazily obsessed.

(to note-this is an old post from 2021. Just re posting it here on my new site, coz, why not!)

I made this calendar spread yesterday, it was only the 19th, but I was already excited to decorate my next month spread, I couldn’t wait until the end of the month to make this one.

Experimenting: Of all the monthly spreads I have made so far in my Bullet Journal, it’s not been as aesthetic as this one. Having only one color pen & a book was a pretty good start. But this month I decided to do something new, something more creative. Bullet Journaling is a system where you can note down anything & everything about your life, tracking what all has happened, your plans for the future & organizing your life the way you want it, customizing it according to your needs. The Bullet Journal Method is developed by Ryder Caroll. More about it @/bulletjournal

About being creative: It doesn’t matter if your drawing wasn’t perfect, whether it was not a straight line or a circle which you drew freehand, but it's the process that goes with it. Remember, it should always be Progress over Perfection.

The spread: I decided I will draw each individual box separated out, almost like floating boxes so there’s space in between. Inspired by @/amandarachlee 's May 2019 ‘Plan with me’ Bullet Journal video.

Decorating this page was therapeutic, I am so glad I shared this online.

That’s the thing about trying new things. You won’t get it right on the first try, but eventually it gets better, and even if it doesn’t, well at least you tried, right? That’s what matters. Taking small steps, climbing one ladder at a time counts as progress. I knew that I would make lots of mistakes while drawing this one, I still decided to go for it because I knew if I didn’t I will regret not making a beautiful set up for the month. Also, it's my birthday month, so I had to put some efforts into this.🤍

I am so proud of myself. Also the font of ‘May’ . How pretty is that, OMG!! ✒️
